Who is Gayle Hand, ANP? I am a Nurse Practitioner. In addition to my original nursing degree and RN (Registered Nurse) credential, I have a master's degree from the University of California, San Francisco and post-master's training in Adult Primary Care at University of Washington, Seattle. I am licensed by the state of Oregon as an ANP-PP(Adult Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges) which means I can give primary care to teens and adults and write prescriptions for needed medications. I also have national certification via the ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center). I work independently without an on site MD (medical doctor).  I consult with other providers (MDs, NDs, Psychologists, PTs) when appropriate and I refer patients to specialist such as cardiologist, gynecologist, surgeons, etc. when indicated.  I share office space with Daniel Hardt, ND.  He has been my mentor in learning and providing a more holistic approach to care that is less dependent on pharmaceutical and surgical interventions.  I believe good health starts with good nutrition and this is reflected in my approach to care.  Although I am licensed with full prescriptive privileges, I often recommend nutritional and lifestyle modifications prior to using medications.  Nutriceuticals (vitamin, mineral and botanical supplements) may also be recommended prior to considering pharmaceuticals when appropriate. © Choices for Health, PC - Gayle Hand p:541-683-4404    f:541-683-4405 About
